AN OPEN LETTER TO OUR COMMUNITY: In these coming weeks of uncertainty, we raise our glass in respect for our colleagues who have made the tough but informed decision to keep the public safe and shutter their music venues, and to our homies on the road who’s financially risky tours have been cut short without warning. As we work through this as a community, we encourage our friends at home and abroad to continue to do business with and support your local restaurants and coffee shops if conditions permit. If you’re home from work, volunteer to watch the children of your medical industry friends standing firm in the hospital and as first responders. Perhaps you can use the down-time to buy the newest digital download from a local band stuck in the middle of a now-cancelled album release tour, or purchase online courses from your favourite drummers like George Sluppick, Dave Elitch, Dan Bailey, and Mike Johnston. For now, Revival will be here behind diligently sanitized doors to ensure your kiddos get their drum lessons and your snare drums get the tuning love they deserve, and we’ll be here as long as the environment remains clean and safe for us all.
